This guide explains how to install the Builderall Shopify App, activate popups, configure Social Proof features, and enable email automations.
Installing the Builderall App in Shopify
Step 1 – Install the App
- Log in to your Shopify admin.
- Install the Builderall app using the link below:

Step 2 – Log in or Create a Builderall Account
After installation:
• Log in with your existing Builderall account
OR
• Create a new free account if you do not have one
Important:
New free accounts have limitations related to email sending inside MailingBoss.
How to Activate Popups in Your Store
Before using Social Proof popups, you must enable App Embeds in your Shopify theme.
Enable App Embeds
- Go to Online Store
- Click Themes
- Click Customize
- Open App Embeds
- Enable the Builderall app
- Click Save
Using Social Proof Popups in Your Shopify Store
Important:
Only one Social Proof popup can be active at a time per store.
Activating a new popup automatically deactivates the previous one.
Social Proof – New Sales Popup
- Click Activate to enable the popup.
- To customize the popup content, click Edit Details.
- This opens the Social Proof settings inside Builderall.
You can configure:
• Popup Name
• Headline (Title)
• Translation
• Theme
• Popup Timing
• Advanced Settings
Important – Do Not Modify These Parameters
Product_name (Headline field)
This value is pulled directly from Shopify and reflects the exact product name.
Product_url (Navigation URL field)
This ensures customers are redirected to the correct product page.
If these parameters are modified or removed, proper synchronization with Shopify cannot be guaranteed.
Important:
For the Sales popup to appear, new sales must occur in Shopify, either automatically or manually added.
Social Proof – Products Popup
This popup follows the same configuration logic described above.
Testimonial Popup
The Testimonial popup requires manual entries.
You may change the “URL to navigate on popup click” to redirect customers to any desired page.
Related Offer Popup
The Related Offer popup appears only on product pages.
Customers must be visiting a specific product page for it to display.
The related products displayed are configured directly inside Shopify.
In Builderall, you may modify:
• Popup Title
• Theme
• Translation
• Display Time
• Interval
We do not recommend modifying the Navigation URL after click.
This URL is generated by Shopify and ensures customers are redirected to the correct related products.
Discount Coupon Popup
Discount codes are managed directly in Shopify.
To ensure active store discount codes display correctly, do not modify the COUPON parameter in the interaction text.
You may freely adjust:
• Title
• Interaction text (excluding COUPON parameter)
• Navigation URL after click
• Translation
• Theme
• Popup timing
• Advanced settings
To register coupons in Shopify:
Activating Email Campaigns (MailingBoss Integration)
To enable email automations, your account must have access to MailingBoss.
If MailingBoss is available, the activation option will appear in this area:
How Email Automations Work
When you click Activate:
• An email template is automatically created
You may edit the email content.
However, the Shopify tag cannot be removed.
This tag collects sales and product information from Shopify.
Automatic List Creation
When automations are activated:
• A dedicated email list is automatically created
Important – This list has limitations:
• Subscribers cannot be imported
• Subscribers cannot be exported
• Contacts cannot be moved or copied to other lists
• The list cannot be used in automation workflows
• No double opt-in confirmation email is sent
• If the list is deleted, automations will stop permanently
Automated Email Campaigns Created
Top Sales Email
Sent every Tuesday at 1:30 PM.
Features your top-selling products.
New Products Email
Sent on the 2nd day of each month at 9:45 AM.
Highlights newly added products.
These emails are automatically created one day before their scheduled send time.
If deleted, they cannot be recovered.
Time Zone Configuration
Email sending time follows the time zone configured in your MailingBoss account settings.
FAQ
1. Why is my popup not appearing?
Make sure:
• App Embeds are enabled in Shopify
• The popup is activated
• Only one Social Proof popup is active
• Sales have occurred (for Sales popup)
• You are viewing a product page (for Related Offer popup)
2. Can I activate multiple Social Proof popups at the same time?
No. Only one Social Proof popup can be active per store.
3. Can I remove the Shopify tag from email templates?
No. Removing the Shopify tag will prevent product and sales data from syncing correctly.
4. Can I use the automatically created email list for other campaigns?
No. This list is restricted and dedicated exclusively to Shopify automation emails.
5. What happens if I delete the automation emails?
Deleted automation emails cannot be recovered. They must be manually recreated.
Troubleshooting
Popup is active but not displaying
Check the following:
• Confirm App Embeds are enabled
• Clear your browser cache
• Test in an incognito window
• Ensure the correct popup type is active
• Confirm Shopify is generating the required event (sale, product view, etc.)
Emails are not sending
Verify:
• MailingBoss is active in your account
• The automatic list was not deleted
• Your account time zone is correctly configured
• The email template was not deleted
Coupon not displaying correctly
Ensure:
• The discount code is active inside Shopify
• The COUPON parameter was not modified
• The coupon is valid and not expired
